Finally, I broke my streak of not-so-great restaurants!  Sang Kee is a Philly tradition and if you haven’t been, you should really go.  Situation on 9th and Vine, the place has been opened since the 80’s and does a very brisk business.

I ordered the ginger and scallion beef and General Tso’s chicken for the table.  We also got spicy noodles and some pork buns.  All were excellent.  The noodles were spicy, but not melt-my-face-off.  The pork buns were nice and soft and tasty. The General Tso’s came with nice broccoli.  They deep fry the chicken and then pour on the sauce so it’s still crispy and not soaking in it.  The ginger and scallion beef is just out of this world.

They are known for their Peking Duck, so you should definitely order it if you go the first time.  They also have a ginger and scallion lobster which is great too.  I’ve been here several times and never had a bad meal.

I give Sang Kee Peking Duck House 9.5 out of 10 keggers.  Do not go to Philly’s Chinatown without eating here!
