I had gone to Elena Wu’s when it was over by the movie theater, but I wanted to try the newer location near the mall.  (They call it the Voorhees Town Center, but it’s the mall.  It’s just outside buildings now.)  Anyhow, this is a good date restaurant.  It’s fancy, white linens, anxious waiters—  The whole deal.

I ordered the Elena Salad which was lettuce, chicken and crunchy bits with a side of dressing which tasted peanut-y to me.  I thought it would be ginger, but it was good.  I wanted some sushi, but it is pretty pricey.  I was looking at like $50 minimum if I got my normal order, so I figured I’d just get an appetizer.  I got two pieces of white tuna and when I ate them, I almost wished I had spent that money.  Excellent.

Finally, I ordered Grandfather Chicken (sesame chicken) and that was really filling.  It was a nice portion.  The total bill was around $33 and change, so $40 with the tip with my bottomless iced tea.  A little high, but worth it.

I give Elena Wu’s 7 out of 10 keggers.
