In Observe and Report, Seth Rogen plays a bipolar, mall security guard named Ronnie with an inflated sense of purpose.  This is a very solid offering from him and writer/director Jody Hil.  Once again, the Apatow Mafia has a hit.  Where do I sign up to join?

Ronnie is in love with Brandi, played by Anna Faris, a smokin’ hot cosmetics girl that really isn’t interested in him.  But when a flasher starts visiting the mall parking lot, Brandi gets flashed and Ronnie finally sees his way in.  Ray Liotta plays a local police detective who is annoyed by Ronnie and eventually becomes his rival.  Did I mention Anna Farris is smokin’ hot?

She also happens to be really funny, although most of the comedy comes from Rogen, who plays Ronnie as totally serious.  His crew of fellow mall cops are also just as funny.  You can do a lot with a story when the stakes are this low.  Did I mention Anna Faris is smokin’ hot?

Yowza!  And Dennis, played by Michael Pena, is also a hoot.  The movie is a little dark, just like Ronnie and Hill does a good job of keeping the story fairly believable and just below the rage of a mall shoot out.  I have to give this movie 9 out of 10 keggers.  You will enjoy it, bros.  Go see it.
