Casa D’Amico has been a staple of mine for a while now.  It’s funny to me that it’s even an eatery.  When I lived in the neighborhood many moons ago, it was a 7-Eleven.  Then I think it was briefly a Cumberland Farms and then finally Casa D’Amico.

About four or five years ago, I ate in the restaurant.  The food is really good.  I probably had my usual, Chicken Parmesan.  I remember it being good, but the service, not-so-much.  The actual restaurant area is very nice and a good place to sit, but that night I remember the place was empty.  There was a single server and she wasn’t very responsive, but that was a long time ago.  Quite frankly, the food was pretty worth it.

More recently, I had a hankering for a stromboli.  I remember that their pizza was very good.  They have the whole fire-roasted oven thing going.  I guess it must really make the difference!  I ordered the smaller of the two strombolis, but the thing was huge!  They bent it and put it in the pizza box along with a cup of sauce.

Let me tell you, the taste was orgasmic.  It was a cheesesteak stromboli.  Tasty, cheesy, crunchy and good sauce.  Oh, man!  I’m hungry just thinking about it!

Overall, I would say, if you’re going out, it’s probably an okay place to eat.  It’s certainly higher end than most pizza places with a restaurant area.  Definitely worth a take out order.

I give Casa D’Amico 9 out of 10 keggers.  Really good food.
