RestaurantSteve’s Grilled Cheese and Quesadilla Company

Address: 804 N White Horse Pike, Stratford NJ

Food:  Grilled Cheese and Quesadillas

Price:  Slightly Above Average

Portions:  Average

Taste:  Great

Service:  Hipster

Atmosphere: So Steve’s is the latest franchise of fast food places.  The angle is grilled cheese and quesadillas.  The sandwiches are big sized Texas Toast bread served with either tomato soup or fresh cut fries.  (They had me at fresh cut fries.)

It’s good and I would eat there again.  I got the signature sandwich, which is a chesesteak on a grilled cheese sandwich.  The butter bread paired well with the meat, which was of top quality.  The fresh cut fries were exactly that.  For the fries alone, I would go back.  They were delicious.

While I’m sure the locations down the shore are a bit more presentable, the one in Stratford has a sign that’s out.  They really need to fix that.  I mean, I thought the place was closed and I was super close to driving past.  The inside features sketches of various characters holding grilled cheeses.  It’s a fun little place, but the outside doesn’t reflect that yet.  They put all the signage to face East and West, but the front of the store is South.

It’s weird for me too, as the building was a Friendly’s, then a couple of other things, an Indian place and now this.  If they just fix or remove that empty sign, it would look so much better.  And they should really have some of their fun pictures facing outside to make it look more inviting.  But hey, if you’re in the area and need a tasty buttery sandwich, it’s pretty good!

I give Steve’s Grilled Cheese and Quesadilla Company 8 out of 10 keggers.
