So thanks again to my brother and his girlfriend for taking me out for sushi for my birthday.  (Celebrate all week!  Birthday week, bros!  No!  Birthday month!)

Fat Salmon has a decor that tries a little bit too hard to be Morimoto, but the sushi is top notch.  Delights included white tuna nigiri, a roll featuring eel and avocado, another roll that had pico de gallo and one excellent ginger salad.

The only fly in the sushi was the service.  Our server was pleasant enough and it was busy, but we waited a looooong time for sushi.  That was weird because we got the tempura first.  Overall, I thought it was good, but the place struck me as more of a drink and sushi kinda place.  People were drinking tons of sake, which I hear was good.

I would go again.  Looks like a good date place.  But for pure volume and food, I have other places, but it’s worth it to try the rolls.  I give Fat Salmon 7 out of 10 keggers.
