Quick note:  I’m under the gun to post since Comcast Internet was down ALL DAY ON TUESDAY here.  (Twitter in Focus will be back next week.)  Since I couldn’t work all day, I treated myself to the legendary Chick’s Deli.  (A food review is probably more useful on 4/20 anyway!)

I had read and heard about Chick’s for years, but it’s a lunch place and I was never up in time to make the drive.  Today, I had time to kill so I headed over.  Situated on a street just behind Route 70, I knew I was in for a treat when I saw a couple come out of the place and take a picture before leaving.

Chick’s is small, with maybe six tables and slightly over a dozen or so seats.  They do sandwiches and a few salads, so it’s basically breakfast and lunch (although they are open until 6pm.)  The cheesesteaks are the thing to get, however.  Fresh bread, quality meat and tasty cheese.  I got a cheesesteak hoagie and it was perfectly seasoned.  That, besides the fresh ingredients, are really the key.  The balance of spices was perfection.

The staff is friendly and constantly cleaning.  They had unsweetened iced tea, which is a huge bonus for me.

The legends are true!  Chick’s Deli is definitely worth the trip.  I rate this 10 out of 10 keggers.  You gotta go, bros!
